“To be an artist is to believe in life.”
A self-taught artist since school. Passion, perception, and practice have been three foundational elements of my learning curve. I have admired art as a magical tool that allows one to fill colours in life. I find the art creation process very relaxing and therapeutic. As an artist, I am an explorer and love to practice new painting techniques and forms. I am a global artist
specialised in digital and mixed media art. Through my studio named Dsplashes, we offer exclusive artworks to decorate the living spaces.
Since past many years, I have volunteered at different forums and participated in charity auctions. I am glad to be a MOP volunteer to together build this amazing community. Currently I am helping MOP artists to collaborate with Living with Art Gallery for a National Day themed exhibition.
Yashika Aggarwal
To me art has been my diary and my growth chart of moving from subconscious to consciousness. Earlier as a hobby, it was fun and most likeable thing for me to do. Only after moving to Singapore and taking the Abstract course, I found immense satisfaction, freedom and expression in it. As I moved further in my yoga and stepped into motherhood, my experiences, emotions and explorations of myself and my world have been at peak, and so is my desire to create art as an experience for the viewers as per their own energies.
In future, as I grow in yoga and able to align my energies consciously, I want to express the same through my art, that will be my way of paying back to the society. I find satisfaction in volunteering as I can use my job experience for a greater cause especially with MOP by bringing collaborative opportunities and venues for other mother artists.

Valerie Ko
Driven by emotion and intuition, I express myself through embroidery and watercolour. My art provides an emotional release of sorts. I draw heavily from my own life experiences, allowing myself to authentically lift and breathe life into the work.
My passion for volunteering ignited when I attended a volunteering camp at the age of 15. Surrounded by like-minded peers, I discovered the joy and fulfillment that comes from serving others. This camp not only sparked my commitment to community service but also paved the way for a career in the non-profit sector and education.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with young people, helping them navigate their challenges and empowering them to reach their potential. Volunteering has become a way of life for me. It is my commitment to making a positive impact, particularly in the lives of the next generation.
